Classic Bagel Combinations

Bagels are the best! Unforunately for me in Switzerland we can only get plain ones or with sesame seeds. Bagels make for a great breakfast or lunch option as it is quick to make and depending on what you put inside, you can make it as protein packed as you want.

I will give you a combination of my favourite type of bagels.

Guacamole & Bacon

  1. Fry upsome bacon until it is very crispy
  2. Toast the bagel
  3. Spread some guacamole (I will give you the recipe to my classic guacamole soon) over the bagel and add the bacon

Scrambled Eggs & Smoked Salmon

  1. Toast your bagel
  2. Take some cream cheese (plain, with herbs etc) or butter and cover both sides of the bagel
  3. Take an egg and whisk it in a bowl and add a drop of milk, salt & pepper
  4. Add a tiny teaspoon of butter in a pan on a medium heat
  5. With a wooden spoon keep stirring until the egg is scrambled and cooked through
  6. Put the eggs on one side of the bagel
  7. Layer slices of smoked salmon on the other

Turkey & Cranberry

  1. Toast your bagel
  2. Take some cranberry jelly and cover both sides in a thin layer
  3. Slice some red onion, cucumber, tomatoes (any salad items you wish)and place on one half
  4. Take turkey slices and pile them up on the other half

Lemon Dill Cream Cheese & Smoked Salmon

  1. Toast your bagel
  2. Take some cream cheese (plain, with herbs etc) or butter and cover both sides of the bagel
  3. Chop some dill and spread a tiny bit on both sides followed by a squeeze of lemon juice
  4. Layer slices of smoked salmon

Cream Cheese, Bacon & Avocado

  1. Toast your bagel
  2. Take some cream cheese (plain, with herbs etc) or butter and cover both sides of the bagel
  3. Fry up some crispy bacon
  4. Slice half an avocado
  5. Layer the bacon and add the avocado on top
  6. Salt and pepper

Peanut Butter & Honey

  1. Toast your bagel
  2. Spread a generous amount of peanut butter (as if you can ever have TOO much)
  3. Drizzle honey over both halves
